1st presentation in our “Wednesdays with Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies” series.
Marsha Rutledge, Assistant Professor of Counselor Education, and Erica Brown-Meredith, Assistant Professor of Social Work will be giving a talk, “Sisters of the Yam: Clapping Back at the Female & Gender Expansive Relational Divide Using a Women's Empowerment Framework.”
In this presentation, students will participate in an interactive session designed to build proactive alliances between majority and minority women and gender-expansive students at predominantly white institutions by addressing ways to engage in critical discourse, build cooperative relationships, and appropriately advocate for the advancement of all women.
