Wind Symphony Concert

The Fall Concert of the Longwood Wind Symphony is Tuesday October 26 t 7:30 p.m. in Jarman Auditorium.  A wide variety of musical styles and composers will be covered. We will be featuring LU clarinet professor Dr Roland Karnatz on Artie Shaw's "Clarinet Concerto", written in the big band swing style, assisted by Dr Lisa Kinzer on piano and Professor Chris Thomas on percussion.  As a special treat with the upcoming Veterans Day, the band will present a rousing Patriotic Finale of America the Beautiful with narration by Dr Christopher Swanson, a medley of the Service Songs of the United States Military, and John Philip Sousa's "The Stars and Stripes Forever".
