Lost ID Policy

If you lose your Lancer Card, you will need to deactivate it immediately so your card can be protected from misuse. You can do this in a variety of ways:

  • Mark your card lost online at Manage My Lancer Card.
  • Contact the LancerCard Center at 434-395-2715 during business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm)
  • After hours: Contact the Police Department Dispatch office at 434-395-2091. 

To reactivate your current Lancer Card, you will need to come to the Lancer Card Center in person. You must have a driver's license or another form of photo identification in order to reactivate your lost ID if found.

If you cannot find your current card, then you will need to have a new card printed. There is a $15 fee to replace your Lancer Card.

The university assumes no responsibility for illegitimate purchases from your account prior to your notifying the proper authorities that it is lost or stolen.

All customers wishing to use their meal plan or Lancer CA$H! account to purchase goods or services must present their valid LancerCard for payment. In order to protect your account, there will be no exceptions.
