The Staff Advisory Book Fund was created to help staff members who are taking classes at Longwood. Since staff members are entitled to one free class per semester, it is often the price of books for which staff members need assistance. The Staff Advisory Book Fund will refund the purchase of textbooks up to $50 per staff member. Refunds will be issued on a first come-first serve basis each semester, and applications must be received by 5:00pm the withdrawal date every semester. Those who receive funds perviously will be moved to the bottom of the list for the following semester. This is in an effort to give as many staff members as possible the ability to utilize this benefit.
For the Fall 2015 semester we awarded seven book refunds.
The Staff Advisory Book Refund can be requested by completing the Staff Book Reimbursement Form and attaching a receipt for the purchase of your book. The form can be submitted by e-mail to email@example.com or by campus mail to Courtney Jones.
Staff members serving on the Staff Advisory Committee will only be eligible if there is no one else requesting the benefit that has not already received funds for the current academic year. If you have any questions, or need more information, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
