This workshop series is designed for equity-minded faculty seeking intellectual discourse on issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education. It targets individuals who may already possess some degree of critical consciousness, are already engaging students in some DEI work, and are looking to move beyond introductory conversations on social justice issues.

Participants in this workshop will explore issues and perspectives from a variety of critical lenses including critical feminists/womanists, critical race theorists, queer theorists, and critical pedagogues. They will work together to problematize and re-problematize key concepts that arise. Participants will explore logistical, as well as ideological, impediments that can hinder authentic DEI work. They will explore vignettes and tips from others in the field working to overcome such challenges in their own unique contexts.
