What is The Invitation?

The Invitation is an event especially for students from historically underserved and underrepresented backgrounds that is designed to help them gain a better understanding of the student experience at Longwood University. During this event, you will have opportunities to interact with Longwood faculty and staff to learn about the college admissions process and the support services available to our students.

Who is invited to this event?

While we welcome all future Lancers to The Invitation, the Office of Admissions and the Office of Multicultural Affairs have prioritized this event for students from traditionally underserved backgrounds, including those listed above.

What's the focus of The Invitation?

The Invitation will focus on unique opportunities for living and learning at Longwood. You'll learn all about our tight-knit community and how easy it is to find your place here. We'll share details about the support services and how to access these essential resources. Of course, we'll also cover everything you need to know about the admissions process, financial aid, academics and student life.
