The colors change, as do the flowers, so that there is always something new to catch the eye, from Autumn's pansies, to the day lilies in the spring, to the red and white Impatiens in the summer.
Under guidance of Dave Love, Director of Landscape and Grounds, Sport Turf, and Sustainability, Longwood's horticulturalists make sure that we are never without full, vibrant color. These ladies and gentlemen manage and maintain the palette against which Longwood life takes place.
Our Vision -- Helping Cultivate Citizen Leaders
One of the most frequent comments by visitors to Longwood is praise for the beautiful campus. The campus visit is considered by many experts to be the most important recruiting strategy in higher education today. Therefore, we strive to maintain the elegant appearance of our campus, and to communicate Longwood University's standards of excellence to visitors, students, and staff.
Our Mission
To proactively and professionally maintain and improve the landscape, grounds, sports fields, and other outdoor features of the University campus, and to proactively promote and improve campus aesthetics and sustainability programs to benefit the entire community.
