Join us on October 14 at 6 pm in the Greenwood Library at Longwood University, 401 Redford Street for presentations by Ms. Marilyn Campbell and Mrs. Viola Baskerville both members of the Afro-American Historical and Genealogical Society.

Ms. Campbell is the President Emeritus of the Afro-American Historical and Genealogical Society (AAHGS) Greater Richmond, Virginia Chapter and she currently serves on the National Board as the Special Projects Director.  Mrs. Baskerville is an amateur genealogist who has been researching her own family for over 30 years, tracing four family lines and finding ancestors in online and offline sources. Her insights and expertise can help you discover new information about your family’s history.

Staff will also be on hand to help you as you begin or continue your own genealogical research. Participants may bring up to 15 family photos or documents to scan. Light refreshments will be provided.
