Welcome to Fall ‘23! As you prepare for your Fall classes, your liaison librarian can help. Here are some highlights of what the library provides.

Resources

The library has several databases that house thousands of disciplinary journals and a robust print collection that is supplemented by the SALSA consortium and the interlibrary loan (ILL) program.

If you have needs outside of our current collection, please contact your liaison librarian. Librarians will also be contacting departments soon about a collection review.

Research Assistance

Librarians are available to assist you and your students with research. There is an On-Call Librarian every Monday- Friday from 1:00 PM- 4:00 PM, and librarians are available by appointment. You may also choose to make research appointments required for your students, but please contact your liaison librarian beforehand.

Information Literacy

You have many options for how your students receive information literacy instruction from your liaison librarian: in-person in the library, in-person in your classroom, hyflex, and synchronously or asynchronously through Canvas. You can also request a librarian meet with your class more than once.

If you would like instruction beyond the one-shot, you might consider our Embedded Librarian program. The program is highly customized to your course needs and can include librarian-created modules in Canvas, which can vary from a static information page to a more in-depth module. If you have used an Embedded Librarian before, please remember to add the librarian back into the course whenever re-using librarian-created content. Also, be sure to check links to library resources every semester; sometimes the links expire.
