Greetings from the 2024 Virginia Children’s Book Festival Committee!
Thousands of Virginia school children and teens come to Longwood University’s campus in October each year to experience the Virginia Children’s Book Festival (VCBF). Over the span of three days attendees celebrate reading by meeting, learning and exploring with some of the most popular and acclaimed authors in the country. The festival began in 2014 and with each year, the numbers and opportunities continue to grow and flourish. On top of all that, this annual event is free to everyone.
We would love to have you as an official volunteer for the multitude of volunteer opportunities at the VCBF. We need lots of volunteers to help make memorable moments for these children. The festival is scheduled for Wednesday, October 16-Friday, October 18, 2024.
