As shared last week during the special preview opportunity, the refresh of longwood.edu is now live! This iteration marks a noteworthy milestone in the continuous evolution of Longwood's digital presence, designed to enhance our visual brand and improve user experience.

What's New?

This refresh is not a complete overhaul of the website but simply an iterative refresh that embraces current design standards, ensuring our website looks and feels more modern and engaging.

A look at the refreshed website on a mobile device

A significant highlight of this refresh is our mobile-first approach. Recognizing that nearly two-thirds of our website visitors are accessing it through mobile devices, the new layout prioritizes the mobile user experience.

Additionally, we've focused on user-friendly functionality. One notable feature is the combined web and people search, allowing for a smoother search experience without the need to toggle between options. This and other improvements are designed to make our website as intuitive and efficient as possible.

Feedback / Issues

See an issue? Have some feedback? Let us know! We'll continue to address any issues that arise over the next few weeks.

You can use this feedback form here:

Or simply drop us a note at webteam@longwood.edu at any time.

Here are a few things to keep in mind:

  1. Solomon is unaffected: The refresh only affects our public-facing website (www.longwood.edu), not our faculty/staff intranet (solomon.longwood.edu).

  2. Content is largely untouched: The refresh primarily affects the visual design aspects of the website. The content for most pages remains unchanged.

This refresh is the next step forward in our ongoing effort to enhance our digital presence. Explore the updated site and share your thoughts!
