Please join us for the Spring Student Showcase for Research and Creative Inquiry on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.
 
At this spring's Student Showcase, we are offering the following Career Development Workshops. These workshops are open to all students (students do not need to present at the Student Showcase to attend these career development opportunities).

  • 11:00-11:45am- Center for Career Success- Career Development Open House for English Majors
Look no further for the personalized guidance you need to turn your ENGL research and course experiences into compelling stories for a cover letter or bullet points for your resume and LinkedIn profile. Come by the Center for Career Success on the ground floor of Maugans to meet with members of the Career Success team and get 1:1 feedback. Register here to enjoy a free lunch!

 

  • 11:30-12:30pm- Rotunda 315- Pre-med with a Purpose: Guidance from Campus to Med School Admissions

Join us to gain valuable insights into the pre-healthcare journey, from choosing the right courses and extracurricular activities in college to preparing for the demanding admissions process. You'll receive practical advice on crafting a competitive application, understanding the expectations of medical and healthcare-related programs, and aligning your academic and personal goals with your aspirations in medicine. This session is perfect for students seeking guidance and direction as they pursue a future in healthcare. We're excited to feature a special guest, Lisa Leichner, Recruiting Specialist for VCOM! Lunch will be provided at this session.
