The Spring Showcase 2020 Digital Commons site is open for submissions.
We ask that all presentations are posted on Digital Commons by 9:00am on Wednesday April 22. People will be able to view and comment on the presentations through Friday April 24. Students are encouraged to check their presentations and respond to questions during a live Q&A session on April 22 between 2:00 and 4:00pm and should continue to check their presentations and respond to questions until Friday April 24.
The presentations will be displayed on a dedicated Spring Showcase Digital Commons site. The presentations will be organized into various "project categories" by discipline/program and this information is included in the 2020 Spring Showcase Program.
We ask that the faculty mentors upload their students' presentations, however students can also upload their presentations if that is preferred. The presentations should be submitted in the correct "project category" as listed in the program. We also have provided step-by-step instructions with screenshots for how to upload the presentations to Digital Commons.
Students can use various video and or audio recording programs to record their presentations. This can include recordings of Zoom presentations, audio recordings using PowerPoint, or Youtube or Vimeo videos/recordings. Digital commons supports many file formats including .mov, .mp4, .jpeg, .png, .pptx, .docx, .xlsx, .pdf, etc. Please do not use Panopto to record the presentations and this program is not compatible with Digital Commons. It is recommended that Word documents and PowerPoint files be uploaded as a PDF.
Please contact Hope D. Alwine (alwinehd@longwood.edu) or Mark Hamilton (hamiltonma@longwood.edu) for more information regarding uploading documents to Digital Commons.
