Please join us for the Spring Student Showcase for Research and Creative Inquiry on Wednesday, April 19, 2023.

We have an exciting set of in-person events planned starting at 9:00am, with over 300 presentations by undergraduate students scheduled on April 19.

The day is organized like a conference, with hour-long poster sessions occurring in the Blackwell Ballroom all day (9:45-4:45), and concurrent oral presentation sessions occurring in classrooms in Rotunda and Bedford (9:45-4:30). There also will be theater performances in the CSTAC Lab Theater, the Junior Art Show in the Bedford Atrium, and the Longwood Excellence in Research and Creative Inquiry and Incite Award Ceremony in the Virginia Room.

The Inclusive Excellence Symposium on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging will also occur as part of the Spring Student Showcase on April 19. This exciting event will begin with a Keynote Address by Dr. Erin Waggoner, Assistant Professor of Communication Studies and co-director of the Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Minor at 9:00am in the Virginia Room. Student presentations on DEIB-based research topics will occur across campus from 9:45 to 3:30.

Check out the Spring 2023 Student Showcase Program for a detailed schedule of the event.
