The Spring 2020 Student Showcase for Research and Creative Inquiry will be virtual.

The virtual Student Showcase will be held in an asynchronous manner.  Student presentations will be displayed on a dedicated Spring Showcase Digital Commons site. The presentations will be organized into various "sessions" by discipline/program and this information will be included in the Student Showcase program.

The Digital Commons site will be open for submissions on April 15 and we expect that all the presentations will be posted on Digital Commons by 9:00am on Wednesday April 22.  People will be able to view and comment on/ask questions about the presentations through Friday April 24. Students are encouraged to check their presentations and respond to questions during a live Q&A session on April 22 between 2:30 and 4:00pm and should continue to check their presentations and respond to questions until Friday April 24.

We will also have a live presentation session for the Incite Awards and Longwood Excellence in Research and Creative Inquiry Awards on April 22 from 12:00 - 12:45. A link to the Zoom session will be posted in the Digital Commons site.

Students will prerecord their oral presentations and they will be posted on Digital Commons. Posters will also be posted on Digital Commons and students are encouraged to prerecord a mini introduction/explanation to go along with their poster.  There is no limit on length of time for the presentations or on the size of the poster.

We will allow students to use various video and or audio recording programs to record their presentations. This can include recordings of Zoom presentations, audio recordings using PowerPoint, or Youtube or Vimeo videos/recordings.  Please do not use Panopto to record the presentations and this program is not compatible with Digital Commons. Files can also be uploaded as a PowerPoint file or PDF.

Please direct any inquiries about the Student Showcase to Amorette Barber (barberar@longwood.eduor Sarah Porter (portersg@longwood.edu).
