“Last of the Red Hot Lovers” by Neil Simon

Setting: NYC apartment; early 1970’s.

Auditions: Oct 7, 7:00 PM   Rehearsals M-F  7-10  Tech/ Dress Rehearsals: November 16-19 Show Dates: November 20-24

Cast: 1 male; 3 females

Barney Cashman—a middle aged restaurant owner who thinks his life if too boring and decides to have an affair, in his mother’s apartment.  He is not very good at this!

Elaine Navasio-a sophisticated and somewhat coarse lady who only wants a “quickie.”  She has indulged in many extra-marital affairs and has no sympathy for Barney’s romantic gestures or ineptitude.

Bobbi Michelle-an unemployed “actress,” or so she says.  She is flighty and has many “stories” of her show business adventures and sexual encounters.  She persuades Barney to get high on marijuana.

Jeanette Fisher-a family friend who is VERY depressed and wants to repay her husband for his infidelity.  She feels there is” not one decent person left in the world.”

There is a comic, awkward kiss; marijuana smoking, and a pseudo-stalking scene.
