What are Blackwell Talks?
The Blackwell Talks series offer an opportunity for faculty to share and receive feedback on
research in progress. Each talk features a 30 minute research presentation followed by 20 minutes
of discussion based around, but not limited to, specific areas of feedback that the speaker
identifies in their talk. Presenters may support their talk with slides but this is not required or
expected. The audience for Blackwell Talks is fellow scholars and colleagues from various
academic areas and units across campus. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal with the aim of
fostering constructive and engaging discussion about the research project being presented. All
talks are accompanied by a light lunch generously provided by our sponsors.
The Blackwell Talks are generously sponsored by: Cormier Honors College ○ College of
Education, Health, and Human Services ○ Cook-Cole College of Arts and Sciences ○ College of
Graduate and Professional Studies ○ College of Business and Economics ○ Brock Experience ○
Greenwood Library.
