Faculty Research and Development Grant Application

Faculty development includes activities to improve instruction and/or curriculum. Research may involve experimentation, artistic performance, and documentary search and/or survey. It may include the review of the literature and/or the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data, as well as the presentation of results in a manner acceptable to the discipline involved.

Please download the proposal form below, type in responses, print your completed packet and then follow the following procedures:

  • Provide a copy of your printed proposal to the chair of your department AT LEAST 7 working days prior to the due date (last Monday of January)
  • After obtaining the chair’s signature, provide a copy of your printed proposal to the Dean of your college AT LEAST 7 working days prior to the due date (Last Monday in January).
  • Ensure that the chair of the Faculty Research and Development Committee receives a PDF or printed copy of your full application by the first day of the last Monday in January (See faculty senate website to determine the chair: http://solomon.longwood.edu/facultysenate
