Encouraging and instructing our students as they work toward their vision for life after Longwood is at the heart of what you do, regardless of your role at Longwood. In support of this common task, the Post-Graduate Success Initiative (Longwood’s Quality Enhancement Plan) invites all Longwood faculty, staff, and administrators to contribute their resources and activities to a new campus-wide, Canvas-based, Post-Graduate Success Toolkit.
Organized around the two themes of the Post-Graduate Success Initiative – Consider Life Design and Practice Career Everywhere – the toolkit will be a one-stop resource for activities to use in relationships with students, as mentors, instructors, advisors, and guides.
Grants of $250 and $500 are available to support the development of toolkit resources that align with one (or more) of the Initiative’s three learning outcomes:
The grants support the work needed to develop your resource(s) for sharing via the Toolkit Template. Here is a sample resource (docx), completed using the template, that would qualify for the $250 grant. Although grants are primarily designed to support the work of individuals, applications from pairs will be considered for larger resources.
Grants will be administered in three rounds. Feedback and notice of a decision will be sent within one week of application submission. To complete the application you will need to select a learning outcome and briefly describe the proposed resource. From the date of acceptance, applicants will have approximately five weeks to complete resource development using the provided template. Grant payment will be processed upon receipt of the final submission.
