Homecoming & Alumni Weekend is all about celebrating the people and connections that make Longwood special, and that includes you!
As faculty and staff, there are many ways to take part in Homecoming & Alumni Weekend on Nov. 6-8, whether that’s volunteering to help run the event, attending the weekend’s full suite of activities or just swinging by the Lancer Family Tailgate for food, fun and games alongside alumni and your fellow colleagues. However you’re able to take part, we’d love to have you!
Note that certain elements of Homecoming & Alumni Weekend require advance registration, so be sure you’re signed up before the weekend kicks off.
To start, faculty and staff are welcome to attend Saturday's tailgate without registering. However, we encourage you to register for Homecoming & Alumni Weekend to enjoy the full lineup of festivities—including dinner at the Homecoming Kickoff and The GAME pep rally—and receive this year's commemorative "Go Wood" T-shirt at check-in! Registration is $35 for adults through Oct. 31, $15 for children ages 6-17 and free for children 5 and under.
We’re also seeking volunteers, all of which will receive a 2026 Longwood scarf! Volunteer opportunities are available Friday, Nov. 6, and Saturday, Nov. 7, with assignments ranging from assisting with event check-in to distributing wristbands. To become a volunteer, just sign up, show up and collect your scarf the Monday after homecoming, November 9.
Note that the volunteer sign-up closes at 8 a.m. this Tuesday, Oct. 27. Assignments will be communicated by Friday, Oct. 30.
