Winners will be included in an exhibition in the Longwood Center for Visual Arts and celebrated at a reception on Tuesday, March 31, during which prizes will be awarded.
We welcome submissions from the Longwood community to be considered for the categories below:
Global Lancers: Learning at Longwood can include all kinds of global engagement, from studying abroad to enrolling at Longwood in Farmville as an international student, from attending international conferences to participating in globally-minded events on campus. We invite Longwood students to show us what being a globally engaged Lancer can look like, and what it can teach us. Open to all current Longwood students
Beyond High Street: Working at Longwood can mean presenting or conducting research, attending conferences, and/or leading academic programs around the world. How does that world appear to traveling faculty and staff? Share your images of the fascinating people, places, and cultures you see while working as a Lancer abroad. Open to faculty and staff representing Longwood abroad
Worldwide Lancer Pride: No matter where we are, members of the Longwood community love to show some Lancer spirit. Let us see how you display Lancer Pride around the world: stretching that hard-earned scarf in a European city? Wearing that Lancer cap in the African savanna? Gathering with fellow students while hiking through dramatic landscapes abroad? Sharing culture with the Longwood community here in Farmville? Open to all members of the Lancer community
