The Virginia Department of Education, in partnership with Longwood University, is excited to host the 2025 CTE New Teacher Institute from July 7-11, 2025, in Farmville, Virginia.
This institute is designed for Career and Technical Education (CTE) teachers employed by local school divisions who hold or will hold a provisional license. It satisfies the curriculum and instructional procedures professional studies requirement necessary for teacher licensure.
Registration & Tuition:
- Preregistration Deadline: May 30, 2025
- Tuition:
- $855 (in-state residents)
- $1,065 (out-of-state residents)
- Note: Tuition reimbursement is not an allowable use of Perkins funds for teachers seeking an initial license.
