Parking Requests for meetings/events on campus is managed via the scheduling request portal just like any other event request: https://25live.collegenet.com/longwood.

Campus police no longer schedule parking requests.

Details and a step-by-step guide to request parking for meetings and events.

Like any other event request, we ask for two weeks prior notice to process your parking request. The system will, however, allow you to make requests up until 4 days, before on your own. Should you need a reservation within 4 days email scheduling@longwood.edu and write “Parking Request” in the subject line.

Event Parking vs. Individual Spaces

Event Parking

Should you need to add parking to any traditional event/meeting just add it to the “Resources” page of the scheduling wizard. Here you can add all of the resources you will need to be associated with your request. Multiple resources can be added to one event: catering, parking, accommodations, etc. The parking spaces will be assigned based on the number of attendees you are estimating combined with the location and time of your event.

Individual Spaces

Should you need an individual space for a meeting that is happening in your office or non-traditional space (one that will not appear in the “Location” page of the wizard) please search “Parking” when you get to the location page of the scheduling wizard and the “Parking Request” option will be available for you to select as the location. Then proceed to the next page which is “Resources.” Here you will again search “Parking” and select either car or bus parking. The parking spaces will be assigned based on the number of attendees you are estimating combined with the location and time of your event. In the notes section at the end please list the name(s) of your guests and reconfirm the times they will be on campus. This will be populated with their real-time on campus and driven by the event start and end time – codes and spaces will not be blanket assigned all day.

Large Event Parking

On campus weekday parking is limited. Should your event be taking place Monday – Friday between 8 a.m. & 5 p.m and require more than 75 spaces an event manager will reach out to you to discuss off-campus parking. These remote lots, and the shuttling, options are available to you/the department based on first-come-first-served shuttle availability. These services for shuttles and drivers will be billed at the department’s expense.
