Business Operations
Our department provides financial support, work order management, and inventory management to all of Facilities.
Operations
Our department provides carpenters, electricians, plumbers, heating ventilation, and air conditioning technicians, controls technicians, a locksmith shop, a real estate foundation shop, and preventative maintenance specialists for all on-campus and off-campus properties.
Fleet Services
Our department maintains all vehicles including buses and golf carts used on and off campus.
Submit A Work Order
Use the Work Order Website
- You must log into the website the first time to automatically create your account.
- New work order link - Asset Essentials
- Client ID is longwoodu
You will be redirected to the Longwood single sign on page.
- Type in your LancerNet user name and password.
Use the Mobile APP
Instructions
- Go to your Google Play or App Store for IPhone or Android and download the app called Asset Essentials
- Type in longwoodu for the client ID
- You will be redirected to the Longwood single sign on page. Type in your LancerNet user name and password.
Work Order Request | First- Time
The loading data page will take about 1 minutes to load (only when using the mobile app)
- Tap the menu icon
- Tap Create Request
- Tap site and Select which site are you at—Main Campus (non-housing), Campus Residence Hall (housing), Lancer Park, Longwood Village, or Farmville/ Prince Edward
- Tap the +Add Location and using the search field type in your building name
- Tap and select a Work Category that best fits the nature of your request
- Provide a detailed description of what needs to be done in the Work Requested section
- Type in your Room Number
- Type in your email in case the work order center needs to contact you
Upload Document/Image
Mobile APP - take a picture with your device's camera
Desktop/Laptop - tap Add Photo to select an image from your device's storage
Submit Request
Click Submit Request at the bottom of the screen to submit the work request
You will be taken to the My Requests page after the work request has been submitted.

Operations handles the maintenance and repair of all of buildings on and off campus. We provide preventive maintenance, repairs, energy management, and utilities for campus and Longwood managed facilities.
