General Education is at the heart of the undergraduate academic experience at Longwood University, preparing students for a lifetime of opportunities and challenges both personal and professional.

The General Education program at Longwood consists of 14 goals that provide students the opportunity to explore a broad range of academic disciplines.  In pursuing and accomplishing these goals, students will develop the range of skills necessary to engaging in active citizenship, achieving professional success, and leading an examined life.
