Proposing a New Course

The Longwood University faculty play a vital role in the General Education program.

They are central to General Education's mission to prepare students for the expected challenges and unexpected opportunities that college and life have to offer. All of the courses are developed by faculty members and are designed to meet the changing needs of the student population. The General Education program is not static, but instead evolves through the contributions of the faculty members.

The program is overseen by the General Education committee of the Faculty Senate but the most valuable contributions are those put forth by the faculty as a whole.
