The Citizen Leadership Institute is an engaging experience open to all students at Longwood consisting of 8 workshops, guided reflections, and community engagement! In the Office of Citizen Leadership & Social Justice Education, we recognize that there is a dire need for our young adults to gain a greater and more meaningful understanding of what it means to be a Citizen Leader. Through the Citizen Leadership Institute, you will participate in meaningful experiences that will assist you in the critical process of assessing your strengths, goals, and decision-making processes, while engaging with issues of identity, inclusion, purpose, and advocacy. We will be exploring topics such as, effective communication, what is leadership, emotional intelligence, and ethics.

Workshops will be held on Thursdays from 4:00-5:15pm, starting September 21, in Grainger 101.
