Most people think that research is merely looking up information, but that is only part of the story. All research, no matter the discipline, begins with asking a question for which you do not have an immediate answer. People from all fields ask questions, but use different means to answer them.

At Longwood University, research it typically refers to the research process, where you ask a question, find and evaluate sources or evidence to answer the question and share your results with others.  Spring Presentation of Undergraduate Research (SPUR) is an event on Student Research Day where undergraduate students share their results through digital presentations that are displayed during the event.

Likely, you are a student who has completed an assignment in class or a project outside of class that fits this criteria. If so, you can submit a PowerPoint for SPUR. See SPUR 2018 Call for Submissions for details!
