Space Planning

Space Planning and Management Committee

The Space Planning and Management Committee oversees the planning and development of all space at Longwood University. The committee reviews and decides on space allocation and configuration requests. The committee meets regularly to discuss space needs and address space requests made by faculty and staff.

 Procedure

1. The requestor fills out the Space Planning Request form, which includes a section for the Vice President to approve. Once the request is fully executed, it is sent to the Space Planning Committee to review/approve/deny.
2. If the Space Planning Committee approves the Space Planning Request form, the form is sent to Capital Design and Construction for estimating. 
3. Capital Design and Construction will get estimates to Space Planning for disbursement to the requestor. 
4. The Space Planning office will send the Space Planning Budgetary form to the requestor, who will approve it and forward it to the Vice President for approval.
5. Once the form is fully approved, it will be sent to the Space Planning Committee for review/approval/denial.
6. If the request is approved, Space Planning will sign the document and forward copies to the requestor and Capital Design and Construction. An email will notify the requestor and Capital Design and Construction if the request is denied.
