Mission Statement

The mission of the Office of Sponsored Programs is to promote, facilitate, and encourage faculty and staff in the pursuit of external funding for projects and activities that serve to enrich the research, educational and creative endeavors at Longwood University.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive support services for the development, planning and administration of externally funded projects.
• Ensure compliance with award terms and proper stewardship of sponsored funds.
• Serve as liaison between the University and funding agency.
• Protect the University from unnecessary risks and liability.
