The Office of Sponsored Programs & Research provides faculty and staff with proposal preparation assistance by clarifying sponsors' submission procedures, aiding in budget development, and interpreting federal, state, and university policies related to sponsored projects.

All externally sponsored grant proposals must be processed through the Office of Sponsored Programs & Research (OSPR). The Principal Investigator is responsible for submitting the Proposal Review and Approval Form and the complete Grant Application Package (this includes the technical proposal, budget proposal and any additional documents required by the sponsor).

The Grant Application Package should be submitted to OSPR no later than five business days prior to submission. A timely approval and submission of the proposal depends on the completeness of the Grant Application Package and the Proposal Review and Approval Form.

We encourage you to consult with us early during proposal and budget development so that we can help you review the program solicitation or request for proposals (RFP’s) and determine if there are any special eligibility concerns or potential obstacles. By making early contact we can facilitate the overall application process, allocate adequate resources to assist you, and add value to your submission.
