ENGAGING LITERACIES: INTENTIONAL APPROACHES TO STUDENT LEARNING
When: January 7–9, 2026
Where: via Zoom
Registration: COMING SOON
Join us for a two-day exploration of literacies as tools for meaningful engagement and learning. No matter what you teach, you are teaching literacies– fundamental building blocks of learning from reading and writing to news literacy and emotional intelligence. This year’s series features workshops designed to help faculty strengthen course design, deepen student engagement, and integrate literacy development into your teaching. Faculty will have the opportunity to explore these literacies within the context of their own disciplines and leave with practical strategies to apply in the spring semester.
Upon completion of the Pedagogy Series, faculty should be able to:
- Identify the role of multiple and intersecting literacies in supporting student learning across disciplines.
- Reflect on their own teaching practices and identify actionable next steps to strengthen literacy development in upcoming courses.
- Design or revise course activities and assignments that incorporate targeted literacies.
