Location: Allen 310 -or- Zoom
Registration: link expired
This 2-hour writing session is designated for all first year, tenure track faculty, clinicians, and lecturers. For the first 30 minutes, we will discuss strategies to present oneself effectively to the multiple audiences that review professional portfolios and answer any nuts and bolts questions that you may have. For the last 90 minutes, participants will write their professional portfolios in community, using Francesco Cirillo’s Pomodoro Technique. CAFE provides space, snacks, and stress relief items. A CAFE staff member will also be present to consult if participants would like to discuss their writing to get past obstacles to completion of their work.
At the end of this workshop, participants should be able to:
- Create a professional file with audience, context, and purpose in mind.
- Show their progress and discuss a timeline for finishing their professional portfolios on time.
Already booked on Tuesday and would still like to meet? Please contact Adam Franssen (franssenra@longwood.edu) to arrange another time.
