A relaxed interactive environment is at the heart of what makes Blackwell Talks such an enriching experience.
Each speaker will talk for about 30 minutes followed by about 20 minutes for discussion and questions. Light snacks and drinks are provided.

FOCUSED RESEARCH WRITING SESSIONS
Join CAFE for pomodoro sessions again this semester. All faculty and staff are welcome.
The sessions use a focused cycle: set a goal, work towards it for 25 minutes, and then take a five-minute break.
You will repeat the cycle three times. Choose the session that fits your needs:

SoTL (Scholarship of Teaching and Learning) @ Longwood encourages faculty research focusing on teaching and learning.
This workshop will introduce you to SoTL. During our time together we will: a) answer the question “What is SoTL?”,
b) explore examples of SoTL scholarship, c) evaluate how SoTL fits into your professional development, and
d) formulate ideas for your own SoTL project.
