Faculty Sabbatical Application
The term “Sabbatical Leave” at Longwood University describes leave that enables a faculty member to undertake writing, research, curriculum development, and other creative endeavors that would not be possible in the course of normal college responsibilities.
Please download the proposal form below, type in responses, print your completed packet and then follow the following procedures:

- Provide a copy of your printed proposal to the chair of your department AT LEAST 7 working days prior to the due date (October 1).
- After obtaining the chair’s signature, provide a copy of your proposal to the Dean of your college AT LEAST 7 working days prior to the due date (October 1).
- Ensure that the chair of the Faculty Research and Development Committee receives a PDF of your full application by October 1
