Threat Reporting Procedure

This procedure applies to any behavior that is interpreted to be a threat. Judgments about the seriousness of a threat will be made by the Longwood University Threat Assessment Team (LUTAT).

Emergencies

In an emergency for threats or concerning behavior, that involves imminent risk of harm to self or others, contact emergency services at 911 or the Longwood University Police Department at (434) 395-2091. The Farmville Communications Center will enact the appropriate emergency protocols based on the situation.

Non-Emergencies

In non-emergency situations where there is concern for threats or concerning behavior, a report should be made via the Say Something online portal. Say Something is a centralized, online resource that students and employees may use to make a report of their concerns. Persons submitting a report should provide all available information concerning the situation. Say Something reports may be submitted here: Submit Say Something Report.
