Longwood University's Environmental Goals are to meet or exceed the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) and, where applicable, EPA regulations, directives, and Executive Orders established by the Governor's Office. These compliance standards shall be met through procedures, processes, and plans with attached responsibilities to cover the below-listed areas, and those areas may later be identified by a regulation:

Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) serves all university members by helping to create a safe and healthy work environment through the promotion of occupational safety, fire safety, and occupational health programs. OSH staff also perform industrial hygiene monitoring, evaluations of potential health hazards, and assist with the development of controls to reduce or eliminate exposure to these hazards.
