What is remote printing?
Remote printing will allow students, faculty, and staff to print from print stations in the Academic Computer Labs, Library, and Student Union from any computer that has access to the Internet.

How does it work?
To upload a document for printing, visit http://print.longwood.edu. You will use your LancerNet ID and password to access the site. Once logged in, you will have an option to upload a document for printing. The uploaded file(s) will then be available for printing at any print station in the Academic Computing Labs, Library, and Student Union. To print you will simply swipe your Longwood ID and select the file(s) that you wish to print. Note: You must have funds available in your account in order to print. Your account balance will be displayed on the website for your convenience.

What file formats are supported?
Supported file formats include Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PDF, images, and text (CSV, RTF, and TXT).

Is there a file size limitation?
Yes, files for remote printing must be 50 MB or less.

How long will the print job be available after it has been uploaded?
Print jobs will be available for print for 24 hours after they are uploaded.

Can I access the printing website from my Smartphone?
Yes, you can access the printing website and view files available to print and your account balance from your Smartphone.

Can I still print directly from computers in the Labs, Library, and Student Union?
Yes, you will still have the ability to print directly from computers in the labs, Library, and Student Union. You will be asked to enter a job description and your LancerNet ID (the same credentials you use with myLongwood and Canvas). Note: You may enter whatever your like as the job description or leave it blank. It is used as a guide to help you identify your print job.
