The service is Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP). VoIP is a technology that allows you to make voice calls using a broadband Internet connection instead of a regular (analog or digital) phone line. One of the purposes for VoIP is to allow corporations to reduce their long distance toll calls by using the existing network infrastructure.
