There is an electronic process for hiring students. After a student is offered a position and the supervisor starts the process the student will receive an email from Interview Exchange where they will login and complete their paperwork electronically.
After accepting employment, employees are required to complete an electronic I-9 form and present documentation of their identity and eligibility to work in the United States. Longwood University utilizes the Equifax I-9 verification system to confirm identity and work authorization.
Please read the list of instructions from the pdf link below, then click on the I-9 electronic form link.
The Employer code is 18071.
At the bottom of the Employee (Section 1) portion of the form, there is a field called "Location", please select "Student Worker."
If you have any questions on how to complete this form, please do not hesitate to contact Student Employment at (434)395-2944.
A student will not be placed on payroll or paid for any hours worked until your Work Authorization has been approved by the Student Employment Manager.
