About Working At Longwood

We know you are excited about your new position at Longwood and we look forward to welcoming you at your New Hire Orientation day.

Before Your First Day - Some things you need to know or can do to help your first day run smoothly.

  1. Please complete the Employee Information Sheet located in your New Hire Packet and return to HR prior to your first day of employment. 
  2. Before your first day, please complete your Section 1 of the form I-9 by:
    1. Logging into I-9 form  on or before your First day of work for pay.
    2. Enter the Longwood University Employer Code:  18071  into the Employer Name or Code box.
    3. Once you have completed Section 1 of the Federal I-9 form, you will need to bring your ORIGINAL documents with you to New Hire Orientation, Human Resources, or (your supervisor=Student Employee Only) within 3 days of your first day of work for pay. A list of acceptable documents can be found at USCIS acceptable I-9 documents.
  3. Please complete and bring to New Hire Orientation, Human Resources, or (your supervisor=Student Employee Only) your remaining new hire packet documents; Criminal History Request Form, Disclosure document, policy documents, DMV Release form, Direct Deposit Authorization form with a canceled check and state & federal tax forms.
  4. So, where is New Hire Orientation located? Directions & Parking.  Lancaster building, room 223 -  top floor at the end of the hall.
